Gardenweb bamboo idea

Post by Iowaboo »

Ah shucks, people there didn't like my bamboo idea. Shock of all shocks. Look at the pic, cool to visualize bamboo screen there.

Lance, you should photoshop in a big beautiful well controlled bamboo grove in front of the fence but be sure to also include a human skeleton in the foreground sprawled out on the ground holding root pruners.

Don't plant bamboo unless you are an EXPERT on the stuff and leave money behind when you die to remove it. If someone moved next to me and planted the stuff I would send them a certified letter with containment instructions just to make it easier to sue when the planter gets sick and the bamboo escapes.

I was thinking of suggesting Hardy Orange for a hedge. It does lose its leaves in the fall, but its large thorns would put a stop to people driving on his lawn real quick.
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Think it would grow too slow though, and as mentioned, not evergreen. Alot of times bamboo doesn't cross these people's minds when wanting a screen, even though its the most obvious solution in the right climate.
