Phyllostachys arcana 'Luteosulcata' or hardy Fargesia seed

Post by johnw »

A friend in Denmark is looking for seed of 'Luteosulcata', apparently it has flowered in Europe but I've heard of no offerings? The P. arcana here has not flowered and once it does I doubt it will be replanted as it has frozen to the ground inland at -20c the past 2 years.

I'd like to buy or trade for some Fargesia seed if anyone has had an aberrant flowering....seems someone mentioned that.

I got them from a bamboo grower from France. I got 100% germination rate! Two weeks after sowing two more seedlings came out of the soil, so it was 10 out of 10.
I guess you can ask on lesbambous website if there are any seeds available.
