70percent bamboo t's

Post by Eastlandia »

I recently purchased a t-shirt from http://www.spunbamboo.com
I have yet to see how it holds up, but so far it feels fantastic.

I've never put on a shirt and said 'it feels fantastic'. I wonder if there are microscopic rhizomes that have burrowed into your body. Eastlandia, are you there anymore?

Haha- actually the bamboo fibers are round like silk rather than the flat fibers of cotton. Because of this, for somereason the material is more absorbant than cotton and is also naturally antibacterial. -eastlandia

I don't know about the absorbency. My mother-in-law gave me a bamboo hand towel and I didn't like it because it would dry my hands easily.

It's super adsorbent because the fibers are hollow:: ( like bamboo culm-- now 'ain't THAT amazing?) you will also find that these materials are slower to dry (in a dryer), for the same reason.
The 'Antibacterial" really works:: I've seen a bit of research data, which indicates it can even cure athelete's foot:: wearing the socks has certainly stopped mine from recurring..
And if you think the 70/30 feels good, try some of the underwear that is 100% Boo fiber. Oh-h-h-h-h-h...... and if you guys want a super gift for that 'significant other', get one of their Boo Shawls. I'm not sure if those are at "Spun bamboo" or "Bamboo Textile".. Rich has three different webs sites now, w/ different products on each....

I thought about trying the boxers, but the website said it would feel like you weren't wearing anything and I'm a little bit shyer than that.

Yes, but even if I wore pants with my boxers wouldn't the feeling of nothingness block the feeling of somethingness- assuming I put the boxers on first.

Even if you didn't feel the boxers, you would feel the pants you were wearing, unless they were bamboo pants, than its anybody's idea!!

With all the heat and humidity on the Suncoast, I like to wear thin, loosely knit nylon shorts and tank tops which will not absorb moisture, which is what I want, but it does make me feel like I am working around in "da buff". Heck, I'm not modest, I love it. At least it keeps me from going to jail for indecent exposure.

Interesting. What other vices have you channeled along other avenues?
For instance, what pathology does your love of boo conceal?

There is a Jamaican song about the man with the big bamboo, but I'll let a Jamaican sing it because I can't remember the words.

I can understand logic of that, because you live in those conditions 12 years a month. The hot, humid conditions we have in Iowa don't last long. So I embrace and cherish the conditions by wearing long sleeves and pants with no air-conditioning.
